Sharing information from the inside that is in the public interest is invaluable to hold those in power accountable, drive change and help improve climate policies globally. At the same time, we understand that this can be risky for individuals with access to such information. Therefore, we take security very seriously.
If you would like to contact us with a tip or to share sensitive or confidential information, you can do so by writing to our secure ProtonMail* address. Carbon Market Watch will never reveal the identity of a whistleblower. We will also never share or publish information we receive confidentially without the consent of the provider. We will also never forward or transfer information we receive beyond the secure environment of our ProtonMail account, unless this is done with the provider’s approval (e.g. for publication).
* Protonmail is a secure email service which can be accessed worldwide, using end-to-end encryption. We recommend that you set up your own ProtonMail account to contact us, instead of using a regular email service. This is free and simple. For extra security, you might want to use a VPN service to disguise your whereabouts. But beware that using a VPN is illegal in certain regions of the world (including but not limited to China, Russia and the UAE).
