The CDM Board published a tool to report about the contribution of Clean Development Mechanism projects to sustainable development. The tool is far from being perfect but it is a step in the right direction

India is one of the top countries in implementation of CDM projects. The Indian CDM authority has stipulated a sustainable criterion for such CDM projects.

Submission to the CDM Executive Board on the tool to promote sustainable development benefits

In response to a request from the CMP in its decision 8/CMP.7, the CDM Executive Board approved the voluntary tool for describing sustainable development co benefits of CDM project activities and PoAs at its 70th Board meeting in November 2012.
